Thebless TranslationShanghai Thebless Translation Co., Ltd. was founded in 2006. For two decades our main clients have been Japanese semiconductor and manufacturing companies.
In our first few years we took anything. Later we realized the real value of translation lies in focus — only when a domain's terminology, norms and expression habits accumulate to a certain depth can the output be said to work directly on site.
So we narrowed our business to manufacturing technical translation, especially for Japanese companies. Japanese, semiconductor, promotional materials & press releases, technical documentation, in-house training materials — those words make up our daily routine.
Today our team includes industry-backed translators, returnees from Japan and senior reviewers, covering 34 languages. We don't chase project volume; we chase clients coming back in year two and year three.
Language certificates are only the threshold. Every translator must pass a trial translation and domain assessment in the target industry before joining the relevant project team.
Drafting and review are separated; key documents get an extra Japanese native-speaker proofreading pass. Three checkpoints, each responsible for different error types.
Every project ends by updating the client's dedicated termbase and translation memory. The longer we work together, the more repeated content, the lower the unit cost.
We return a quote and timeline the day we receive the files; long-term cooperation can be covered by an annual service agreement.
